Covid-Safe Healthcare

Our Covid and Safety Practices

At Zara Acupuncture and Wellness, protecting your and your family’s health and safety are our highest priority. We want to offer you consistent healthcare, without interruptions, and to keep our facilities a place that is safe from transmission of colds, flus, RSV, or Covid. Therefore, we have adapted and continue to maintain strict clinical procedures for safety, sanitization, and social distancing, in accordance with CDC and state and local authorities recommendations. As these recommendations change, and based on our own assessment of patient/practitioner safety, depending on the moment, these procedures are subject to change.

We also provide telemedicine sessions for anyone who would prefer home-based care at this time. Sufi Healing is a form of remote telemedicine that offers a wonderful alternative to acupuncture, treating many of the same health conditions and issues that acupuncture does. It can feel as good as a treatment, along with diet & lifestyle changes.

Safety Procedures

  • We personally sanitize every level surface in the treatment rooms with medical grade disinfectant between patient visits.

  • We use HEPA filter air purifiers in every treatment room. Windows will be opened during treatments, when appropriate, and before and after treatments to increase natural air flow and ventilation in the practice space.

  • We wash our hands and hand sanitize frequently, before and after each treatment.

  • Upon your arrival, we ask that you wash your hands with soap and hot water and hand sanitize before your treatment. We also recommend washing and sanitizing your hands before you leave the premises.

  • We are fully vaccinated and boosted and wear KN-94 or KN-95 masks with all patients.

  • Patients are required to wear a KN-94, KN-95, or hospital-grade masks for the duration of their visit.

  • We will contact you within 24 hours of your appointment to confirm whether you and members of your household/pod have been recently symptomatic, exposed, or diagnosed.

  • If you have recently contracted a cold, the Flu, RSV, or tested positive for COVID-19, been symptomatic, or exposed to the virus, we ask that you give us 48 hours notice and we’ll discuss whether it’s necessary or not to reschedule your treatment.

We sincerely thank our patients for being mindful, conscientious, and honoring these safety guidelines. These extra precautions and procedures are still in place to help keep patients and your practitioner safe so everyone can receive the healthcare they need in a timely and uninterrupted manner. Should you have any questions or concerns about these procedures please let us know.
